WALGREENS

38TH & Sherman, Indianapolis, IN

The Blackstone Group was invited by the Walgreen Company to be one of their primary developers as they extended into the new market area of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Walgreens identified 19 sites in Indianapolis that they wished to develop.  And asked Nova Group, Inc. to develop a new “Twin Peaks” prototype that they would use in Indianapolis.  Walgreens liked this design so much that they later employed this prototype into a national standard.

The location of this 12,800 S.F. building at 38th Street and Sherman, in Indianapolis was one of four initial locations that were opening simultaneously by the Blackstone Group and kicked off the eventual development of eight Walgreens stores designed by Nova Group, Inc. in the Indianapolis market.
